Gunmen kill four people, burn houses In renewed Plateau attackÂ

Some gunmen have killed four persons and burnt down several houses in Teegbe and Nkienzha communities, in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, North-Central Nigeria.

The incident happened at about 11pm on Sunday night.

The gunmen are said to have attacked the communities in their numbers..

The spokesperson for Irigwe Development Association, Davidson Malison, blamed the attack on armed cattle herders.

Malison said Teegbe residents repelled the attackers but lost one person.

The Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN in Plateau State, Muhammad Nura, denied cattle herders were behind the attack. He urged the police to go after the real perpetrators of the attack.
