FG to VCs: Ignore striking ASUU, open universities now

The Federal Government has asked universities to re-open schools and allow students resume lectures. The government gave the order through the National Universities Commission (NUC).

Sam Onazi, the director, finance and accounts of the NUC, said this on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the commission, Professor Abubakar Rasheed.

“Ensure that ASUU members immediately resume/commence lectures; Restore the daily activities and routines of the various University campuses”, says an excerpt from the NUC letter to the vice chancellors.
