FG discontinues suit against Adedoyin over Timothy Adegoke’s murder

The federal government has discontinued the suit filed against Dr. Ramon Adedoyin and five others over the death of Timothy Adegoke.

The case was filed at the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja.

Adegoke was a post-graduate student of the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, until his death.

He had lodged and died at the Hilton Hotel, owned by Adedoyin.

Adegoke’s corpse was later buried by staffs of the hotel, without notifying the police of the death.

“Take notice that the Complainant discontinues all of the proceedings in this case against the above-named Defendants for further investigation, dated this 7th day of February 2022,” as stated a court document.

Femi Falana, counsel to the deceased’s family, requested that the case be withdrawn from the Abuja court and re-filed in Osun State.

The senior lawyer said he had received assurances from the police that would be done.
