Eight feared killed, many injured in Ibadan-Ilorin road accident

Eight persons are feared dead after the bus they were travelling on collided with a petrol-laden truck that is said to be owned by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Ltd.

Among the dead are the drivers of the two vehicles.

The accident happened on Friday. According to a report, the accident occured at Gbede Ogbomosho road the Ilorin-Ibadan Highway.

The report has that the petrol truck had jumped lane before colliding with the 18-seater passenger bus.

A video seen TheCornet shows some passengers lying on the road unconscious. The video could not be published due to its sensitive nature.
