Egbunike: Police DIG who probed Abba Kyari’s misdemeanor dies

Joseph Egbunike, the deputy inspector-general of police who led the probe of indicted officer Abba Kyari has died under unknown circumstance.

Egbunike reportedly slumped and died inside his office.  Until the occurrence on Tuesday, Egbunike headed the Criminal Investigations Department of the Nigeria Police Force.

He hailed from Onitsha, in Anambra State.

The police heirarchy is yet to issue an official statement on his death.
