DSS cordons off Emir of Kano’s palace – report

A report has claimed that officers of the Department of State Security (DSS) have cordoned off the emir of Kano’s palace. This follows the repeal of the Kano chieftaincy law, which effectively nullified the appointment of his Highness Aminu Ado Bayero as emir of Kano.
Daily Trust is saying that the DSS officials are at the palace to prevent possible breakdown of law and order.
Emir Ado Bayero is said to be out of the palace on a courtesy call on the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona.
