Davido reduces Instagram visibility, this is what he did
Award-winning Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly called Davido, on Wednesday reduced his Instagram visibility by deleting majority of the posts he had published on the picture-sharing platform.
Davido left three picture posts only for his 26.4million followers to see. Those he retained comprise pictures of his performance at the closing of the Qatar World Cup mundial, his and his wife’s, Ifeanyi, and late daughter, Ifeanyi.
The singer’s action comes a few days after his fans staged a street action calling on him to make a public appearance.
Last September, the singer’s child drowned in a pool at his palatial home in Banana Island, an affluent neighbourhood for super rich and influential Nigerians, located in the country’s hub of Lagos. The singer and his long-time girlfriend, who he eventually betrothed, had traveled out of the state for a performance.
His child’s death attracted a flurry of sympathies to the singer and his wife including from elected politicians.
The incident has robbed Davido of his well known ebullience and simultaneously sheared him off social circles.
