Dapo Abiodun Threatens Amosun In Veiled Comment

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun has threatened to deal those disturbing the peace of the state, in his veiled comment perceivably aimed at his archrival, Senator Ibikunle Amosun.

Abiodun spoke, on Saturday, at the M.K.O Abiola Stadium venue of the All Progressives Congress, (APC).

Before reading the riot act, Abiodun reminded his listeners of an occurrence during President Muhammadu Buhari’s presidential campaign to the state in 2019.

“You were here when President Muhammadu Buhari visited the state …it was a show of shame

“Our peace and security is what continues to earn us (the status) of an investment destination. Any act to breach that will be considered an act of sabotage against your collective will and the desire of the entire good people of Ogun State.

“I will consider it sabotage against our commonwealth and I will deal with that person decisively.

“I will bring upon them the fullest extent of the law, no matter who they are. I, by the Grace of God, I am the only governor that Ogun State has today and no other. All those who continue to live in an illusion of grandeur, all those who continue to be deluded, I hope the message is heard loud and clear,” said the governor.

Meanwhile, the Ibikunle Amosun-led APC group staged a parallel congress at the Ake Palace Grounds, also, on Saturday.  According to the reports, the police had sealed, and reopened the venue.

Gun-toting thugs in allegedly sporadic shootings dispersed the crowd of party supporters.
