Two men arrested for murder that occurred 33 years ago

Police have arrested two American men for the murder of a man reported to be missing 33 years ago. The victim, John Bowkett from South Yorkshire, went missing in January 1993. Despite the long years since the incident occurred, Bowkett’s family never gave up in seeking answers for his sudden disappearance. On Monday, the police announced they had taken two men into the custody for the incident. The suspects are aged 64 and 72.

The arrest comes after a number of searches took place at properties across the country. The police said their search for Bowkett is continuing while urging anyone with useful information to volunteer it.

“Any information you can provide, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could prove crucial and for the sake of John’s family,” the police said.
