Speed Darlington dragged to NAPTIP over ‘sex with minor
Social media celebrity, Speed Darlington’s confession that he recently had sex with a 15-year-old has attracted the attention of the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA).
In a statement, the DSVA said, “The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency is aware of the disturbing video currently circulating online, in which a popular entertainer allegedly admits to engaging in unlawful sexual activity with a minor.”
“While the individual in question did not specify the location of the incident during the Instagram Live session, we must clarify that the DSVA’s jurisdiction is limited to Lagos State.
“In view of the above, and in line with our commitment to justice, we have escalated the situation to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons.”
Following the disgusting revelation, on-radio personality Daddy Freeze had urged Darlington, otherwise called Akpi, to make a public apology. On Wednesday, a video of the entertainer surfaced on the internet, whereby he claimed to have lied about having sex with a minor.
“As an artist, we need controversies to eat” – Darlington said. He said he lie about having sex with a minor to create controversy ahead of the release of his lewd album.
