Nigerian terrorist group stealthily recovers fighters’ corpses from battleground
The Nigerian affiliate of global terrorism network IS, the Islamic State for West Africa Province (ISWAP), has reportedly recovered dozens of corpses of their fallen fighters after a fierce battle with troops.
A report claimed that ISWAP evacuated more than a dozen corpses on Saturday night. The ISWAP fighters had made a daring move on Friday to attack military formations in Damboa in Borno State but met fierce resistance from the troops.
While the ground troops engaged the terrorists, the Air Force rained bombs on them from the air, killing no fewer than 40 terrorists.
Troops reportedly recovered several high caliber weapons and ammunition belonging to the terrorists.
