Jealous mother of one kills baby father with acid

A 25-year-old mother of one is currently facing a manslaughter charge after her acid attack on the father of her three years old daughter eventually led to his death.

Report suggests that jealously came over the accused woman, Vera Asera, based on her suspicion that her boyfriend, Daniel Omane, was cheating with other women. Cornet News learned that Vera and Daniel had a turbulent relationship, and that on a number of occasions, Vera confronted Daniel about his alleged cheating.

This medium gathered that on the fateful night of his death, Daniel was sleeping in his room but he had no inkling death was lurking in the corner. Vera walked into the room, emptying the container of acid on Daniel. The noise from Daniel attracted their neighours’ attention, following which they rushed him to a hospital for medical treatment. The police arrested Vera for the assault but later released her on bail to attend to their baby.

However, the police re-arrested Vera following Daniel’s passing in the hospital and arraigned her before a magistrate. Vera’s criminal trial will begin on November 10 at the Koforidua High Court, in Ghana, where the incident took place.
