I killed my husband dead because ‘I was tired’ – Wife

A woman has said she grabbed her handgun and fired a shot into her husband’s back because she is ‘tired’. 61-year-old Doris Winters, from Milwaukee, United States, and her husband Aerion Winters, 49, had an altercation leading to the fatal shooting.

Fox 23 reports that Doris and her partner had begun living apart before the incident but Aerion went to the apartment on the fateful day to get some of belongings. A friend of his had driven him in his car to Doris’ place.

The witness said he stood between the feuding partners during the altercation.

As per his story, just as Aerion turned, Doris grabbed the handgun and commented it was loaded before firing a shot into her husband’s back.

He added that Doris then ordered they had better taken him away before she fired another.

The witness, accompanied by another friend waiting in the car, managed to take Aerion away from Doris’ sight. He however succumbed to his gunshot injury. The police arrived the scene and took Doris away.

While in police car, Doris vented her frustration, saying: “He called me a [expletive] for the last time and I just shot him.

“I just shot him…” and…”so I just grabbed my gun and shot him because I’m just tired.

“I know I shouldn’t have shot him, but I’m just tired.”

Doris has been charged with Aerion’s murder
