Ex-NNPC GMD Melee Kyari released on bail in $7.2billion fraud scandal

Melee Kyari, the former group managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, has been released on bail from the ongoing probe of alleged $7.2billion fraud that took place during his stewardship.

Cornet News, on Wednesday, reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, confirmed it was questioning Kyari over the funds expended on the turnaround maintenance of the three government owned refineries in the country.

Meanwhile, the EFCC, also on Thursday, got  a Federal High Court to freeze four bank accounts belonging to kyari.
