Malami to court: I am not guilty

Nigeria’s former attorney-general and minister of Justice Abubakar Malami; his son, Abubakar, and his employee Asabe Bashir have pleaded not guilty to charges of money laundering and illicit accumulation of wealth.

The prosecuting Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. Is pressing 16 counts charges against Malami and his so- accused.

The EFCC also said in the charges that Malami made frantic attempts at concealing his of multi-billion naira worth of assets in Abuja, Kano and Kebbi.
