CBN: Senate confirms Ahmad, Adamu’s reappointment

The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the reappointment of Aishah Ahmad and Edward Adamu as deputy governors of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

President Muhammadu Buhari had forwarded Ahmad and Adamu’s names for a second and final tenure.

The Senate upheld the report of its committee on banking, insurance, and other financial institutions, which screened the duo.

Ahmad and Adamu are CBN deputy governors in charge of the Financial System Stability and Corporate Services Directorate respectively.
