Buhari’s son-in-law pitches tent with opposition ADP

Sani Sha’aban, a son-in-law of President Muhammadu Buhari, has pitched tent with the opposition Action Democratic Party on whose platform he is contesting the governorship of Kaduna state.

He had one time aspired for the governorship seat while he was a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He left the party last year to join the ADP. Sha’aban told a crowd of supporters, during his campaign flag-off, he would win the governorship under his new party.

He promised “to bring back the past glory of Kaduna” as a state “where Christians and Muslims dwell among themselves without any fear or any thought of being harmed.”  The gubernatorial hopeful also promised to focus on “education, agriculture and the normal trading.”

According to him, the state has seen “abject poverty” due to failed agricultural policies. “Kaduna that used to be the hub of ginger; potatoes and various cash crops but today all we can see is …a serious catastrophic situation”.

He equally assured his supporters that if voted into office, he would pursue series of pro-masses programmes.
