Buhari insists on leading Tinubu’s Kwara campaign – APC

The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC) has claimed in a statement issued on Monday that President Muhammadu Buhari insisted on leading Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s campaign in Kwara State.

Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling party, had initially scheduled a campaign stop in the state on Tuesday.

Saadu Salahu, who issued the clarification on behalf of the state’s campaign council, said that Buhari would lead the team when he returns from an international engagement.

“The President is scheduled for an International engagement outside the country this week , beginning from tomorrow but insists he would like to personally lead the APC Presidential rally in Kwara State .

“We deeply regret any inconveniences the postponement might have caused our guests and all APC stakeholders,” the council said.

TheCornet had reported President Buhari’s declaration that he would personally campaign for Tinubu in 10 states including Kwara state.

Since the statement was released, the President had campaigned for APC candidates including Tinubu in Adamawa and Yobe states.
