Boy, 17, kills 15 years old childhood friend

A 17-year-old has killed his childhood friend, 15, based on a disagreement between. Another friend, who recounted the incident, said the suspected killer had slapped him for assaulting a member of his gang. He (suspect) reportedly left the scene before the deceased arrived.

The deceased queried the victim on why he would allow the suspect to humiliate him in such a manner, urging them to retaliate. Before the two friends could plan their reprisal, the suspects returned to the scene while holding a machete. Following an altercation, the suspect allegedly attacked the deceased with the machete in his hand.

“I had to run for my life,” the eyewitness recalled. The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he eventually died from the cuts the suspect had inflicted on his head and shoulder.

The police said they have arrested three suspects linked to the murder. The incident happened at Akwapem Adukrom in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Local media report concerns from neighbours on the gang rivalry among the youths in the area.
