Beware! Police reveal kidnappers’ modus operandi in Ogun

The Ogun State police command has revealed the latest modus operandi of kidnappers operating in the state.
Omolola Odutola, spokesperson for the command, reportedly said that kidnappers now lay siege to their would-be victim’s residence while awaiting the unsuspecting person’s arrival.
She made the comment in response to a media enquiry on the latest kidnapping of a woman identified as Nimota Busari.
Busari was driving into her residence in the Sagamu area of the state, when her assailants suddenly snatched her from the vehicle.
The kidnappers spared Busari’s children but drove away with the mother. They are yet to make contact with the victim’s family.
“Three armed men intercepted her at the gate, snatched the car, threw the children out, abducted her, and drove off,” a source reportedly said about the incident.
Speaking on the effort to rescue Busari, Odutola said that the law enforcement “immediately mobilised to the area for discreet investigation and to restore calm.”
“This is a syndicate operating within Sagamu, Iperu, Ikenne, Odogbolu and Erewon in Ijebu Ode.
“Their modus operandi is to lay wait for their unsuspecting victims at the gate, and when their victims alight from the vehicle with the engine running, towards opening the gate, the armed hoodlums, will suddenly emerge from their hiding spot and zoom off with the car with occupants inside the vehicle.
