Armed robbers ask their victims for prayers during operation

Passengers travelling on a bus found themselves in a weird situation on Sunday.

In a report sighted by TheCornet, five masked armed robbers attacked a 40-seater luxury bus travelling from Takoradi to Kumasi, in Ghana’s Ashanti Region.

The attack, which took place at about 3.30am, saw the robbers dispossessing their victims of of their monies and other valuables.

But, the robber would not leave until they had their victims offer intercessory prayers over their misdeed.

An unnamed passenger told a local radio station that the robbers asked them to seek divine intervention for them.

“After the robbery, they asked us to pray for them because it was not their will to stop vehicles on the highway and rob passengers of their belongings but the system has compelled them to do so,” she said.

Another victim of the robbery incident said the suspects made away with his bag containing an amount of GH¢8,500.

“I’m a driver and I was going to buy an engine for my vehicle in Kumasi. My Mobile Money phone was last week stolen by another set of armed robbers at Kintampo so I decided to carry the money in my bag but unfortunately, I have been robbed again,” he added.
