Appeal Court names Ozigbo PDP Anambra guber candidate

Valentine Ozigbo is the validly nominated candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for  the Anambra State governorship election, holding November 6, the Appeal Court has said.

Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, President of the Appeal Court, leading two other justices unanimously upheld  Ozigbo’s two appeals, and another filed by the PDP.

The justices, in their Friday ruling, set aside an earlier judgment by the Anambra State High Court, which recognized Senator Ugochukwu Uba as the party’s candidate.

A cost of N10 million is awarded against Uba.
