Abducted judicial officer regains freedom in Edo

Mrs. Prescious Aigbonoga, the president of Edo Area Customary Court abducted recently by unknown gunmen, has regained her freedom.

Chidi Nwabuzor, the spokesperson for the Edo State Police Command, disclosed this, adding that a police officer died during the rescue operation.

Nwabuzor said that a team of military and police officers rescued Aigbonoga at a place called Scorpion Hill, located deep into the forest that served as the kidnappers’ den.

Aigbonoga was kidnapped on Monday around Ugoneki area on her way to Igueben Local Government Area, Edo, where her court is located
