79-year-old philanthropist kidnapped

Some armed men have kidnapped a 79-year-old community leader, Comrade Takai Agang, in Bikini-Tsoraurang, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State.�

The victim’s daughter, Mrs. Grace Yohannah Abbin, told journalists that some assailants broke into Agang’s residence and whisked him away, at about 7.30 pm on Saturday.

“The community and family members are appealing to the public for any information that could aid in his safe return,” she said. She added that the law enforcement were making efforts to get her father released.

The victim, Comrade Shamang, is, reportedly, a philanthropist and a well-respected individual in his community.

The Kaduna State Police Command are yet to comment on the kidnap incident.
