75-year-old man defiles 4-year-old niece
Isa Okpoku, 75, has been arrested for defiling his 4-year-old niece. The incident happened in Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
According to the state police command, operatives arrested Okpoku on Sunday following a complaint lodged with it.
DSP Ramhan Nansel, the spokesperson for the command, said that the “preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect and his niece were both residents in the same house. He (Okpoku) lured the victim into his room and wilfully had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.
“The victim was, however, rushed to a hospital for medical examination where a doctor confirmed that the hymen was broken.”
The PPRO added that the Commissioner of Police, Maiyaki Baba, had ordered a comprehensive investigation into the matter, after which, the suspect would be charged.
