2023: Yul Edochie speaks on Tinubu, Atiku, Obi

Actor Yul Edochie has advised the public on the need to get involved in the current electioneering. The actor, in a tweet, said that “ranting” on social media would not deliver any change to the polity.

He said, “If you believe Peter Obi doesn’t have structure to win then go & defeat him in February. If you believe Tinubu is too old, go & defeat him. If you believe Atiku cannot unify our country, go & defeat him in February. . That’s politics. Ranting at home will not change anything.”

The actor, who is the last of the six children by veteran actor Pete Edochie, had declared his interest to run for different political offices.

In 2018, he indicated he would be running for the Anambra State governorship seat but he later stepped down from the race. Edochie would again, in 2019, declare to run for the office of president but that also ended a mere fantasy.

But, what Edochie failed to achieve with his political declarations, he did with his controversial marriage to fellow actor Judy Austin while still married to his first wife, May Aligwe.
