Rivers APC campaigning regardless of nullification – Cole

Tonye Cole, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Rivers state, says the party has not stopped campaigning for votes despite the court ruling that nullified his and others’ candidacies.Â
He said this when he appeared on Channels television.Â
“It is not something (the ruling) that we were that concerned about. What we have looked at is to make sure justice takes its course.
“So we are going to appeal and in appeal we know that there is going to be turnover,” Cole said.
“We have not stopped our campaign. we continued with our programmes. We have continued what we have exactly set up to do”, he added.
TheCornet reports that a federal high court sitting in Port Harcourt nullified the party’s congress that produced Cole and other candidates contesting elective positions in the state.
Bernard Mikko, an aspirant under the party, sued Cole and the party for excluding him from partaking in the primaries.Â
